Carmelita De La Guardia is an accomplished entertainer, a successful business woman and a passionate advocate for women and childrenâs causes.
Omahaâs Queen of International Cabaret is expanding the influence of International-Cabaret music in Omaha and the surrounding metro areas in the Midwest.
She delivers unique performances that combine her charisma and warm personality with an international-cabaret style of music and dance. Her audiences leave her performances captivated by the elegant entertainment experience and with a profound appreciation for Spanish and Italian music. She has performed at Carnegie Hall and many other well-known venues.
She most recently completed work on her second independent music CD entitled, âEnchanting Voiceâ which is now available locally at Homers Music and other retail and online music stores world-wide.
Carmelita has won numerous pageants including the 2003 Mrs. Omaha Award and First Runner-UP in the Mrs. Nebraska Beauty Pageant. One of her most cherished honors to date is receiving the Mrs. Nebraska America Performing Arts Award that is now renamed in her honor, The Carmelita De La Guardia Performing Arts Award.
Carmelita also volunteers her time working with charitable organizations. She has done benefit concerts to support The Holy Family Shrine, The ALS Foundation and provided joy to the residents of the Rose Blumkin Jewish Home. Her next benefit concert will be to support Dystonia research and is a collaborative effort with Paul Serrato and Michael Murphy.
